Magellan RoadMate 1210 GPS Navigator Review

The Global Positioning System or GPS is a navigation system that provides you with reliable location and time information in any weather, anytime, and anywhere on Earth. This wonderful devices were considered expensive luxury items few years age. But with the development in technology, these device become much and more powerful yet less expensive nowadays.

Magellan Navigation, a producer of global positioning system receivers from Santa Clara, California launched it's new Magellan RoadMate 1210 device that use OneTouch menu, a 3.5-inch color touch screen, and a small size design which fit into your pocket. Using the preloaded map for the United States, Puerto Rico, and Hawaii make the RoadMate 1210 suitable for your adventurous activity. RoadMate 1210's 3.5" screen is good enough for most people. The windshield mount which is included in the package is marvelous, once you attached the device to the windshield, it is almost impossible to get it slipped loose.

RoadMate 1210's rechargeable Li-ion battery could last from 2 to 3 hours, based on how you configure the device particularly the brightness configuration. Inside RoadMate 1210's package you will find the following items: RoadMate 1210 GPS receiver, windshield mount, vehicle power adapter, adhesive disc for dash mounting, and a basic yet handy user manual. I am a little bit disappointed about the user manual, however. It is just too basic! If you ever need to do any advance task you will need to download the complete manual provided from Magellan's website as there is just not enough information on the user manual that come with the device.

The product itself is not really perfect, however. If you ever wanted to upgrade or add new maps and Point of Interest, you will have to buy a special USB cable ($15) and if you wanted to get live traffic indicator, it will cost you a special vehicle adapter which will cost you another $80.

For the price i consider RoadMate 1210 as a very good choice. Just be prepared that you need to purchase additional devices to receive its complete features.
