Product Description

The Nap Nanny is a groundbreaking new product designed by a mother to improve infant sleep. The Nap Nanny is made with a durable yet incredibly comfortable high-density polyurethane foam that mimics the contours of a car seat, the comfort of a baby blanket and the stability of a mattress allowing your infant to rest peacefully. Nap Nanny elevates your baby 30 degrees which is recommended by doctors for babies with reflux, colic, colds and stuffiness, gas, and ear infections. The innovative foam design cradles infant while the safety harness holds baby securely in place. The cover includes a waterproof liner that protects the foam for greater longevity. The Nap Nanny is ideal for bottle feeding, playtime, or any other time your baby needs a comfortable place to rest.

Best baby item we've purchased
By J. Craven

Our little one would not sleep reliably in her crib or any other flat surface. If we rocked her to sleep, and then placed her in the crib she would stay there for 1-2 hours if we were lucky. Due to this, we'd regularly leave her in her swing where should would sleep for 3-4 hours. This continued for 6 weeks and we started to be concerned with the constant swinging.

A friend recommended the Nap Nanny. At first, we were hesitant due to the price, but we had to do something to help her sleep. The first night we used the Nap Nanny, we placed her in it while she was still awake. She went to sleep within 5 minutes and slept for 6 hours straight. She's slept well every night since, and actually eclipsed the 10-hour mark last night.

Amazing, with a couple caveats.
1) There isn't an indentation of any sort for their head, so very small infants may have a problem with positioning. We started using it when our girl was 12 pounds, and we occasionally have to reposition her head.
2) Our girl also prefers to be swaddled when sleeping. While you can use the Nap Nanny without buckling the lap belt, I would not recommend it. We found a couple companies that make footed swaddling blankets for car seats. These work well, but not necessarily cheap.
3) I wish there was an option for a vibrating model. We frequently use the Nap Nanny in a Pack n Play that provides vibrations.

Even with those caveats, I still give this 5 stars. It has given back our sleep and our sanity.
