I have had my Garmin 1450 currently for around one week, and I got a good deal on it ($299). I was attracted to this particular GPS after i saw how simple it turned out to utilize for an individual like me that has never had a GPS prior to buying this one. I played around with it on the store's showcase. The big display could be quickly seen while driving a car without having difficulties to see it.
I love the touchscreen function, and also the simple on/off button. It does efficiently advise me of which side of the road I should be in; even so, I don't notice any road signs pictured on my GPS such as the one pictured here. I notice small arrows on the top left that show the best lane to get in. I really like that it also shows the time at which I will reach my destination.
It doesn't have wireless bluetooth capability, and it doesn't include live traffic updates (you should buy it separately). I truly do wish there was an element that will let me go back to the main screen without consistently being forced to press the back button to get back to the home display.
I have not gotten misplaced by using this GPS, and I was informed today when I arrived for an scheduled appointment which they were amazed that I found their company location, due to the fact that even people from their area tend to get misplaced and can not discover the address- I'm amazed. In my current area, the GPS will road its way in a completely different location than is the most sensible option. Mapquest, and also Google maps wouldn't make use of a lot of the routes. Possibly it is because, I have it set on the quickest path. The GPS will quickly re-route the trip if you overlook a turn, or choose to go another route. I'm able to save 10 addresses to my favorites, which can be helpful, but I want to save a lot more than 10.
The landmarks tab is fantastic. I could find places rapidly for food, gasoline, coffee, medical assistance, shopping, and many others.
